By providing cognitive behavioral therapy with trauma-informed care, psychoeducational interventions and a wide array of therapeutic services, we offer our residents a program that can be effective on the path to better manage life’s adversities. Located on the Wasatch Front near the Rocky Mountains, we serve a diverse population of adolescent males. Our facility is just 15 minutes away from the Salt Lake International Airport and only 10 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City.

Welcome to Benchmark Behavioral Health, Inc. and thank you for your interest in our residential treatment program. Established in 1986, Benchmark Behavioral Health has been and continues to be a leading provider of psychiatric treatment. It is an honor and privilege to lead an organization that supports, treats and heals some of our most vulnerable members of society.

Our mission statement speaks to our strong evidence-based clinical program and is the foundation of our organization. Our talented team of clinicians, nurses, mental health technicians and seasoned medical staff provides individualized care that has a lasting impact and truly changes lives.

Benchmark’s COGNIA-accredited education program can meet the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs. Our education program has exceptional outcomes—many of our students progress several grade levels in reading and mathematics during their treatment. Our robust recreational therapy program provides additional therapeutic support to the concepts that are being worked on in individual therapy and provides a wide range of new experiences to our patients. Our dedicated and professional Youth Counselors provide 24/7 support and supervision to our residents, while also building strong therapeutic relationships. They create a safe and therapeutic environment, allowing residents to put skills acquired in individual therapy into practice, fostering growth and meaningful change.
