Our Staff

Benchmark Behavioral Health employs staff members who are dedicated to providing quality care. Our staff consists of psychiatrists, state licensed clinical therapists, a full-time psychologist, teachers with special education certification, licensed therapeutic recreation specialists, a licensed dietitian, and nursing staff. At Benchmark, we aim for a 1:4 youth care worker staff to resident ratio.

Competency Training

Upon hire, staff must complete 40 hours of initial core competency skills and unit orientation prior to working independently on the units. All direct care staff receive training specific to de-escalation and physical management of the agitated patient.

Even when initial training is completed, all staff members are required to attend mandatory skills training annually on topics related to the residents’ safety, fire safety, risk management, cultural diversity, HIPAA, infection control, etc. throughout their tenure at Benchmark.

Benchmark Behavioral Health utilizes a Performance Improvement Program to assure excellence in the staff development program.
